Learn how to make beautiful handmade paper out of plant fibers, recycled scrap, and flowers! We will go through the papermaking process step by step - discussing different types of fiber, making pulp, setting up the vat and work area, forming sheets, and finally pressing and drying them out. Everyone will make several sheets of paper to use for their own art and craft projects, for writing letters, or simply to appreciate as art in its own right.
No experience necessary, teens & kids age 10+ are welcome! All materials will be locally sourced and are included in the fee. Please wear clothing that you don’t mind getting a little bit wet.
This class will meet outside on the CVU grounds. Please wear a mask and checkin at the Welcome Desk at the CVU main entrance 10 minutes before the start of class.
