Coptic-Style Bookbinding with Handmade Paper at the Kilton Public Library

  • Kilton Public Library 80 South Main Street West Lebanon, NH, 03784 United States (map)

Learn how to make a Coptic-style hand-sewn book using the paper made from plants in the Kilton Library garden! Coptic binding is one of the oldest bookbinding methods in history, and deceptively simple - the flexible binding allows the book to open flat, and the exposed looping stitches create a beautiful braid-like effect. No prior bookbinding experience is required, and all materials will be provided!

Free & open to the public, but please do show up at 2pm sharp! No sign-up required. Hosted by the Kilton Public Library.
