Coptic binding is one of the oldest methods for making books, and it's deceptively simple, using two boards for covers and a beautiful looping stitch to attach the pages to each other. The flexible binding allows the book to open flat, making it perfect for sketchbooks and journals. We will make our book covers with bookcloth and decorative paper and learn the Coptic sewing method, and everyone will end up with their own handmade journal to take home.
